RCV Performance Ultimate CV Axle set simply replaces your weak Samurai's axle shafts with a new high-strength 26 spline design. The factory axles were designed with weak 22 splines at the diff, creating a common failure point. This axle set upgrades the 22 splines to a robust 26 spline setup, which is same spline found at the rear diff. In order to accommodate for the new 26 spline, one must replace the front diff side gear with a 26 spline rear diff side gear. Tests prove Ultimate CV Axles to be twice as strong as OEM shafts, and they're just as tough at a straight angle as they are at extreme angles.
